In my opinion, 1st Edition is WAY better, however the core set is not nearly as good in the 1st Edition. Start w/ a couple of the House-Specific deluxe expansions if you do decide to buy anything else, they typically add at least 2 new deck archetypes for each faction, as well as some solid neutral cards.

For those who are curious, both this expansion and the Dance with Dragons expansion fit comfortably in my base game box with the insert (and I have all of the cards sleeved). Conclusion Despite the lack of House Arryn pieces, this expansion is definitely worth the purchase.
